✨ Art Director | Design Director | Fashion Devotee | Visual storyteller ✨

Christin Spagnoli is the kind of creative who can design a brand identity, art direct a campaign, and still have time to critique runway looks like it’s her full-time job. With a mind wired for aesthetics, she’s a walking mood board with a sixth sense for color palettes, rich photography, typography and storytelling. As an accomplished design and art director over the past 21 years at Wieden+Kennedy, Christin has established herself as a valued and trusted partner for her ability to lead projects, work closely with strategy, media and brand, mentor teams and approach each challenge with collaboration and going the extra, extra mile to create the best work.

From sketching layouts to styling looks, Christin brings big ideas, bold concepts, and beautiful designs. Her design style? Every evolving, but best described as clean, clever, and always getting at the heart of defining and celebrating the core of a brand.

When she’s not obsessing over kerning or the perfect lighting for a shoot, you’ll find her in the kitchen, creating late night snack bars for her kids, and lifting olympic style weights with her husband. Whether she’s directing a brand’s next visual chapter or choosing between two nearly identical shades of black (yes, there is a difference), Christin brings the expertise and joy to any project.

After 25 years in the creative world, spanning from VSA Partners in Chicago, to Nike and Wieden+Kennedy, I still feel like there is so much to learn, experience and create. I’m constantly inspired by everything from Lady Gaga’s finger gloves, to planning surprising travel itineraries, to typography everywhere, to drinkable glitter, to Megan “Markle” Sussex honey cakes and really, every piece of fashion my eyes can see. I really do believe that there is a creative solution for everything and that creativity can change the world.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want Design Director at Wieden+Kennedy and have more than 25 years experience in the design, art direction, strategy, new business, color theory, competitive audits and the ad universe. I am a proud mentor of young talent across disciplines.

While working at one company for 21 years is not explained in two sentences, my time there has been anything but traditional. Beyond working on campaigns, I created a new role, New Business and W+K Brand Director to take the helm of leading the voice and visual direction of W+K as a brand for the first time. I worked with the PR and New Business team as well as the executive team on pitches, speeches, PR events and initiatives. I traveled to all our offices and wrote/designed a book with my partner to tell the comprehensive story of W+K. From this role, I pivoted to being a full time Design Director.

I have worked on accounts from Nike, Eli Lilly, Coca-Cola, Target, Starbucks, Caldera, Boss Beauties, Expedia, and Vrbo both as a designer and art director. launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

  • Landing in Portland after living in the wild- I found myself at Nike- having never played a sport in my life. Working in Brand Design continued my love of bringing the voice of a brand in to the world. While working on campaigns was fun- Nike gave me the unique experience of bringing worlds to life for athletes. I worked on many events, creating one of a kind build outs, working with the team on Nike Women's and global inspiration for internal teams.

  • As a fresh out of college designer-VSA was my dream. I was lucky enough to cut my teeth in the real world with some of the best. The discipline, the rigor, and the pure focus on great typography, annual reports, conceptual photoshoots is something I still carry with me today. Even if it's a google slides deck- how can you make it the most beautiful "book" you've ever seen? LOVE VSA!
