“A White Wall Is A Missed Opportunity
I once heard the expression “A white wall is a missed opportunity” and it’s sometimes how I feel about a “google slides deck”. A deck where a copywriter or a strategist has placed their copy page by page, white background, ariel type waiting for those words to come alive. It’s exciting, the blank page filled with a carefully crafted strategic voice; the opportunity to bring that to life and help a brand see themselves in a new way, to create a visual tone and expression, color that cuts through the category or elements of their history remembered in a new way.
Working as the New Business design director have me the muscles to create category audits, both visual and strategic, to run design sprints, interpret brands, and create beautifully crafted presentations to support the larger brand idea and creative task.
Storytelling can take shape in any form, to me, a “deck” is an opportunity not to be missed.
